Colt Mobile Field Shelters are quick, cost effective and versatile sheltering solutions for horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs or llamas. They are perfect for providing flexible shelter out in your field or paddock and great for restricting grazing or providing confinement following injury or illness.
Because they are not permanent structures they are usually exempt from planning permission, meaning they can be easily ordered, delivered and installed quickly – a completely stress-free process.
All Mobile Field Shelters are manufactured from the finest quality, FSC certified timber and available in four size dimensions, with pressure treated timber or metal skid options.
We provide nationwide delivery and installation but also offer a DIY kit option, for you to install yourself.
Mobile Field Shelter Specifications
Our Mobile Field Shelters are solidly constructed using pressure-treated timber, with 75mm x 50mm timber framing and 16mm (12mm finished) shiplap cladding. These weather-tight structures are roofed with Onduline sheeting, which is robust and lightweight. As an option you can choose green, red or brown Onduline, as well as including clear roofing sheets for additional light and underboarding to the underside of the roofing for additional support.
As standard our Mobile Field Shelters include a front canopy/overhang. This canopy extends to 1200mm (4′) and provides extra shelter/shade for your animals, helping rain water drain away from the front Shelter opening. All Mobile Field Shelters include black, half round, front guttering and a downpipe fitted to the front of the structure.
Smaller field shelters are available with pressure treated timber skids. We recommend the cost effective upgrade to Colt 80mm x 80mm metal skids fitted to the base of the structure.
