Colt Stables offer exceptional value for money without compromising on quality, including everything you need and nothing you don't.
Our Stables are made from specially treated, FSC certified timber that has low environmental impact and is designed to last. Constructed from 75mm x 50mm framing with 16mm (12mm finished) pressure-treated shiplap cladding, Colt Stables are naturally tough and rugged structures.
Available as a single row of standard 12x12ft or larger 14x12ft Stables, we also offer corner units to create L-shaped or even U-shaped stable blocks, complete with tack rooms, wash bays and hay barns.
We deliver and install our Stables nationally, but also offer a DIY option, providing everything you need in kit form, for you to put your Stables together yourself.
Wooden Stable Specifications
Our timber stables are constructed to a high specification and include OSB protective kick-board lining fitted as standard to the inside of the structure. Measured to 1.2m high, this lining provides extra strength and protection. Stable doors are capped with an anti-chew strip to prevent damage from gnawing or cribbing.
The front of the stables feature a 1.2m canopy/overhang to provide extra weather protection, helping rain water drain away, and are finished with black, half round, front guttering and a downpipe.
We use Onduline roof sheeting which is robust and lightweight. As an option, you can choose to have green, red or brown Onduline, complemented with clear roof sheets to allow extra light into the Stables, as well as underboarding to the roofing to provide additional support to the Onduline.
Additional options available include American Barn Top Doors which are top door openings to the rear of each stable, opening windows to the front and talk grilles between each Stable.
